"I am a passionate and dedicated student at Western Illinois University, pursuing a major in graphic design. I am reaching out to share a bit about my journey and experiences that have shaped my love for photography and visual storytelling.

During my time as a student, I have dedicated countless hours to honing my skills and exploring the vast world of graphic design. This field has become my creative playground, where I continuously strive to push the boundaries of artistic expression and transform ideas into visually captivating designs.

In addition to my studies, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a Communication Specialist for Galesburg Community School District 205. This role not only allowed me to utilize my photography and videography skills but also presented an exciting challenge in the realm of media coordination and public relations. I had the privilege of founding the renowned Instagram handle "Galesburg Athletics," a platform that garnered significant attention and engagement within the community. Through my lens, I captured the spirit, dedication, and triumphs of athletes, immortalizing their moments of glory and inspiring others with their stories.

Being a media coordinator meant managing various communication channels, ensuring consistent messaging, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. It involved strategizing and executing compelling campaigns to promote events, share success stories, and engage the community. Public relations, on the other hand, allowed me to harness the power of storytelling, crafting narratives that resonated with audiences and cultivated meaningful connections.

 

My dedication to excellence and unwavering commitment to my craft have not gone unnoticed. At the SkillsUSA competition in 2022, I was honored to be ranked among the top three best creative photographers in the state of Illinois. This recognition was a testament to the countless hours I invested in perfecting my skills, capturing emotion, and weaving stories through the lens of my camera.

Photography is not just a profession for me; it is a form of expression that holds the power to touch hearts, provoke emotions, and preserve precious moments. I approach each project with a deep sense of purpose and an unyielding desire to create visual narratives that leave a lasting impact.
